Reformer Pilates
Strength born of control. A body that's stronger, longer, more yours.
What it is
The next step in Pilates, between springs and breath
The Reformer Pilates method was born in the early twentieth century from the insight of Joseph Pilates: a carriage that glides along rails, connected to springs of different intensities. It's this elastic system that shapes everything, an adjustable resistance that follows the movement as you push and release, asking the body to stay present and in control.
Regarded as the evolution of Pilates beyond mat-based work, the machine guides your alignment, engages the deep muscles and brings together strength, mobility and awareness, without the jolts of high-impact training.

What it feels like
Effort that's intelligent, never brutal
The carriage glides, the spring supports, the breath leads. The Reformer doesn't ask you to push harder: it asks you to move better.
You get up feeling more aligned, longer, more present. Not wrung out, but switched back on.
What happens in the body
Deep muscle
The elastic resistance switches on the stabilising muscles, the ones that hold your posture upright and protect your back.
Happy joints
The movement is guided and impact-free: you build strength and mobility while sparing your knees and spine.
Control and breath
Every movement is slow and mindful. Your nervous system settles while the body works.
The benefits
What really changes when the body learns to move better
Realigned posture
Working under the guidance of the springs helps rebalance the two sides of the body and ease the imbalances we build up every day between desk, bags and habits. Rediscovering a natural alignment means moving, sitting and standing with more lightness.
More flexibility and mobility
Every exercise carries the joints through their full range, gradually widening how far you can move. The body becomes more fluid and everyday movements more natural and free.
A stronger core
The elastic resistance constantly calls on the deep muscles of the abdomen and pelvis, your true centre of stability. A solid core means a better-supported spine and safer, more confident movement.
Balance and coordination
The moving surface of the carriage asks the body to find its centre of gravity at every moment, sharpening your control. So balance and coordination improve almost without noticing, movement after movement.
Less tension and stiffness
Controlled, continuous movement releases muscular tension and loosens the stiffness that builds up over the day. What emerges is a pleasant sense of wellbeing that spreads, in class and well beyond it.
Right for every age and level
Adjusting the springs tunes the intensity to whoever is training, from the first-timer to the seasoned athlete. A customisable, low-impact path that's safe and respectful of everyone's own pace.
Who it's for
